In addition to a network of experienced ski guides around the country, we also have two permanent guides on the team. Both Petter Westgaard and Trond Olav Glimsdal are highly skilled skiers with extensive experience, both educated/undergoing education through NORTIND (Norwegian Mountain Guides). This is the highest level in guiding in Norway, and the only representative of the international mountain guide association IFMGA/IVBV.
As of January 2023, Petter is undergoing training as a NORTIND Ski Guide, and at the time of writing he is putting the finishing touches on the work. He also got a bachelor's degree in Outdoor Activities and Nature Guiding. Petter grew up in Narvik - in the north of Norway, but now lives in Volda at the west coast. It goes without saying that both the Narvik and the west coast mountains practicaly are like his own backyard! Last but not least, Petter also has long experience as a (very skilled) free skier, and if there is anyone who can spread joy, motivation and playfulness on a ski trip, it is him!
Trond Olav is a steady guy from the east side of the country, who is a certified NORTIND Mountain Guide - high mountains are his domain whether there is snow or not. He lived for many years in Tromsø, where he was out in the mountains all year round, both in his spare time and at work as a guide. He recently moved to Lillehammer and has Jotunheimen as a neighbour. Trond Olav also worked in the sports industry for a number of years, and is well known with all kinds of outdoor equipment.
Both Petter, Trond Olav and our other ski guides do guide trips throughout the winter and spring, and throughout the country. We offer both fixed departures, courses and tailor-made events.
