Tore Røysheim

With 40 years of skiing experience and all types of climbing, Tore is a man of the mountain.

Climbing, mountaineering and skiing. Tore has long and wide experience at a high level in all branches, and has taken parts of the NORTIND mountain guide education. He has done long climbing routes both in Norway and abroad - such as Greenland, the USA and France, in both warm and cold environments. Everything from sport climbing to mountain climbing. He also has a lot of experience from high altitude tours in the Alps, and not least he has climbed both Aconcagua and Denali. Tore also has done many steep descents on skis, and several first ascents on ice in Norway.

Where did you grow up?
Lillehammer.

What do you call home these days?
Oslo/Chamonix.

When did you join the Norrøna Hvitserk family? 
2017.

Which Norrøna product is your current favourite?
My approx. 10 years old Lofoten ski pant.

What do you always carry in your backpack?
Medic/emergency kit +repair kit, dry inner layer, warm jacket hat and glowes. In winter I always include a windsack, showel and avalanche equipment. 

What do you actively do in everyday life to cut down on your CO2 footprint?
Reduce transportation with own car + reduce consumption of non necessities. 

What is your favourite place in the world?
Chamonix.

What advice would you give to a 10-year-old version of yourself?
Make choices and take opportunities.

What hobbies do you like to participate in/spend time on?
Climbing, trail running, trail biking, x-country skiing, alpine skiing, alpinism, windsurfing, kayaking.

What is your hidden talent?
Cooking.

If you could choose one superpower, what would it be and why?
Finger strength....makes me climb new routes.
