Growing up consisted of football, alpine skiing, cross-country skiing and trips in the woods and fields, and in the mountains. His interest in outdoor life led him to an education at the Norwegian Sports Academy. Here his interests were cultivated, and he gained a more versatile insight into what outdoor life can be about. Alongside his studies, Guttorm works as a ski coach and football referee, and as a teacher in physical education and sports.

As a guide, Guttorm's desire is to let people experience as much as possible of what our beautiful nature can offer, beyond just great views.
