Gunilla was born in Sweden and has lived in several places around the world from Australia to Greenland. Gunilla has close to a decade’s experience in guiding in the Arctic and Antarctic, and this is where she feels the most at home. During the year she spends her time working between Antarctica, Greenland, Svalbard and northern Norway, where she lives in a small cabin in the woods. When not guiding, she is found skiing, climbing or photographing in the remote parts of the world.

Gunilla has spent most of the last decade living with the Intuits in Greenland, sailing the Southern Ocean, exploring the glaciers and mountains of the high Arctic and Himalayas and documenting the fragile environments of our polar regions with her camera.

Gunilla is member of The Association of Icelandic Mountain guides, a certified Wilderness First responder, licenced hunter and licensed Rib boat driver.
